I am a lover of all things pretty, especially jewelry.  When I was a little girl, I loved going through my mother's rhinestone jewelry that she kept in a box, separate from all of her other jewelry.  The colors of the stones fascinated me.  She had necklaces and earrings to match in almost every hue imaginable--beautiful pinks, blues, golds, greens and of course white.   Although my mother would say that they were "just costume jewelry" to me they were the equivalent of the crown jewels.  

Fast forward to several years ago when I had the pleasure of meeting Karen Mayr, the founder of Sabika Jewelry when I was visiting Pittsburgh with my friend, Marie.  Her cousin, Pam attends church with Karen and her family.
